famille fluide
the Gararond

Gararond is an irreverent homage to Garamond. It is close to it in terms of its proportions, but it was drawn freehand on the computer, solely using curves, unlike the original matrices which were drawn on copper with a graving tool. As in Garamond, the italics have variable slants and the line is not level. As a result, Gararond is a free interpretation of its model; it does not seek to be an imitation, but is intended rather to recover a certain elegance of forms beyond an irregularity of stroke and the disappearance of serifs.
